ADDA’s task on cruelty area and animal abuse has always caused outstanding facts. From the withdrawal, together with the Buenos Aires Council, of two lions that were used as ornament in the shopwindow of a photo shop in downtown Buenos Aires up to the penal trial raised against Rodas Circus. This action ended up in the confiscation of all the animals in 1995. And the pigs that ADDA took over because they were victims in public shows, tigers withdrawn from discotheques, animals from investigation labs, every day facts that are part of a usually anonymous task of the entity.

ADDA trains the community on issues concerning the reporting of cruelty and ill treatments in a serious and responsible way. Its greatest wish is that the community learns to defend and protect animals and take an active role in front of abuse.

Martha Gutierrez, President of ADDA, says, "The national law for the protection of animals is not a law for the exclusive use of protectionist societies but a legal instrument for every Argentine". That is why the task of teaching and guidance is fundamental.
